Come join us on this exciting 16 day trip to discover colourful Rajasthan in great company. We will be staying mostly in heritage hotels and palaces, seeing great attractions on and off the map. We will travel in our own private transport. We will wander the bazaars,eat great food,see amazing people and places and experience India in an amazing way.
I will share with you all my favourite places and people along the way. Yet there will be ample time for you to relax with a drink in hand or watch the sunset.
I will list the itinerary below with some of the inclusions but there will be plenty of surprises along the way.
The tour is priced at at $3000 Au or 1700 British pounds and includes all accommodation, Breakfasts,and transport within India. This includes airport transfers.
Please note the accommodation is based on double/ twin occupancy however a sinle supplement is available upon request prior to tour departure. Approximately $1000 Au.
The price also includes hotel tips, tips for our driver and guides so you need not be concerned along the way.
Price excludes meals not specified in the itinerary, beverages, excess baggage fees, flights to and from India which will be at your own cost.
You will also need to purchase comprehensive travel insurance and an Indian visa for your trip.
So now for the exciting stuff- THE BOHO LUXE TOUR
DAY1- DELHI
Check into Hotel Visaya, Delhi.
After meeting the group we will go to explore some of the sites in Delhi including Humayans Tomb. Take in the ambience and explore the city.
DAY2- DELHI
We will visit and walk the streets of Old Delhi, visiting temples,markets and the spice market. There will be time for shopping and a wonderful High Tea at the Imperial Hotel.
DAY3- AGRA
A morning drive to Agra where we will visit the Agra Fort where we can glimpse the Taj preparing us for tomorrows dawn visit. We will be staying at the Trident.
DAY4- JAIPUR
Today we will visit what many consider the most beautiful building in the world. The Taj Mahal. It will be a dawn visit and then we will breakfast before heading on to our first stop in Rajasthan, Jaipur, the pink city. Our home will be the marvellous Diggi Palace.
DAY5- JAIPUR
We will visit the awe inspiring Amber Palace, the Royal Observatory, incredible street markets and some wonderful boutiques.
DAY6- JAIPUR
Some free time to explore, have a swim or visit the gentle elephants at Elefantastic or maybe catch a polo game and have a cocktail or do some more shopping.
DAY7- KHIMSAR
Now we leave the city behind and head to a secret getaway where we stay in a 15th century castle and dine in the ruins of a 10th century castle.
Here we have free time to sit by the pool, enjoy ayurvedic spa treatments or wander the ramparts.
DAY8- JAISALMER
We now head along the spice route to the remote desert town of Jaisalmer where we will be staying at the lovely Hotel Gulaal.
DAY9- JAISALMER
Today we explore the 11th century Fort which is the oldest inhabited fort in India.You will feel like you are lost in a fable as you wander the ancient alleyways in this town that looks like a giants sandcastle in a dream.
To finish the day we will head on camels into the desert to watch the sunset.
DAY11- JODHPUR
We drive to Jodhpur ,the blue city, and yes it is where Jodhpurs come from. Here we will visit the magnificent Meherangarh Fort before walking through the Old city and visiting the enchanting stepwell now surrounded by great boutiques and cool cafes.
We will stay at the Haveli Inn Pal.
DAY11- JODHPUR
In the morning we will take a jeep safari to visit some local tribal people and have lunch with a family of the weaver caste. Delicious food and kind people.
DAY12- JOJOWAR
Once again leaving the city behind and travelling through the Aravelli Hills to stay at Rawla Jojowar, a heritage hotelthat is a converted 18th century fort. Here you have the opportunity to take a horse ride, a village safari or a cooking class. You can even take a rural train ride.
DAY13- JOJOWAR
A free day to relax and take up one or two of the optional activities listed above or simply enjoy the surroundings.
DAY14- UDAIPUR
The road to Udaipur winds through the oldest mountains on the planet and it is not uncommon to see gypsy wagons upon it and all this heading to the Venice of the East. In Udaipur we will stay at Lake Pichola and visit the city palace, explore the bustling alleyways and the peaceful lakeside.
DAY15-UDAIPUR
A free day to enjoy taking a boat ride, taking a cooking or an art class or just soaking up the view.
DAY16- DELHI
We fly to Delhi to enjoy our last night together, Staying at the Lemontree.
DAY17- DEPARTURE DAY.
